My Story

Marlin is a versatile freelance illustrator who is at home using many media and styles of imagery. Please dig into his portfolios and blogposts to see more of his work, and the process behind achieving the imagery.

In his freelance career he has worked on numerous projects including science illustration for books and magazines, giant optical illusion murals, paleoreconstruction, logo design and branding, and site-specific logo murals. His art has been featured in many internationally distributed magazines and websites. He also teaches drawing and illustration at Wenatchee Valley College and lives in Wenatchee, Washington with his wife and son.

Committed to Quality

Marlin lives in Washington state with his young family and finds time to illustrate, teach, travel abroad and be outdoors. He enjoys creating graphics in all styles and media from cartooning to technical illustration to logos and branding. He spends equal time pushing pixels and using traditional media to create what his clients need. His formal training comes from a science illustration program at UC Santa Cruz, and he pursues freelance illustration while teaching illustration and muraling at Wenatchee Valley College in central Washington.
His mural art has been featured on huge walls, parking lots, and rooftops. His illustration has been featured in interpretive displays, books, international newspapers, t-shirts, churches, cider labels, mandolins, magazines, and countless other substrates.
