Argentine ants are famous for riding roughshod into new habitats. Their propensity to herd other insects, not concentrate on (expensive) military campaigns, and amazing ability of these distant “colonists’s” communities to intermingle, (unthinkable for other ants of the same species who live next door!) make these transplants successful everywhere they go!
